Ficlore, run by an individual under that name, is responsible for the personal data described here. Contact: support@ficlore.com.
Account: your email address, the display name and handle you choose, an optional bio, and how you signed in (email or Apple). With Sign in with Apple you can hide your real email; we then receive a relay address.
What you do on Ficlore: your shelf (want to read, reading, completed, on hold, dropped), ratings, reviews, lists and list notes, follows, blocks, reports you file, and your taste picks (worlds, likes, dealbreakers, platforms).
Subscriptions: if you buy a subscription on the website, we keep only its status (which plan, whether it is active, when the current period ends) and the customer ID and subscription ID that Creem gives us, so we can turn paid features on and off. We never receive or store your card number or other payment details.
Usage: which works you open, save or rate, and which recommendations you were shown, so we can measure whether recommendations help. Before you sign in this is tied to a random identifier stored on your device, not to you.
Errors: when something breaks we record a technical error report (what failed, page or screen, app version, time). It does not include your password or the content you were writing.
We do not use advertising trackers, sell personal data, or track you across other companies' apps and websites.
To run your account and the features you use; to recommend stories that fit your picks and ratings; to keep the community safe (reports, blocks, moderation); to fix errors and keep the service secure; and to answer you when you contact us.
Ficlore uses service providers that process data on our behalf: Supabase (database and sign-in), Cloudflare (hosting, network, email routing and error logs), Resend (sending account emails such as confirmations and password resets) and, for Sign in with Apple, Apple.
Payments on the website are processed by Creem, operated by Armitage Labs OÜ (Estonia), which acts as Merchant of Record. You enter your payment details on Creem's checkout, and Creem handles them and your billing details under its own privacy notice: https://www.creem.io/privacy. Ficlore does not see or store your card number.
Your public profile, public lists, reviews and ratings are visible to other readers. Private lists and notes are visible only to you.
We disclose data when the law requires it.
As long as your account exists. When you delete your account we remove your profile, shelf, ratings, reviews, lists, notes, follows, blocks and taste picks. Discussion threads that other readers replied to stay without your name, and contributions to shared story wikis stay credited to a deleted reader. Usage records are kept without anything that identifies you. Error reports are kept for a short period and then deleted.
You can see and change your data in the app, edit or delete your reviews and lists, and delete your account in Settings at any time.
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, by writing to support@ficlore.com. Depending on where you live you may have further rights, including the right to complain to a data protection authority.
Ficlore is not meant for children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
